Camden Town Hall Wedding Photography
Camden Town Hall Wedding Photography. When Tabatha first got in touch with me through my website, she told me that she had fallen in love with my relaxed, documentary style of wedding photography. The couple were planning something a little different – a romantic elopement in Paris would be their main celebration, but before heading off to the City of Love, they wanted to make things official with a small, intimate legal ceremony in London surrounded by their parents.
Their wedding morning began at the stunning Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel in Bloomsbury. In a lovely little twist, both Tabatha and Alex got ready in the same luxurious suite, carefully keeping themselves apart so they wouldn’t catch a glimpse of each other before their first look.
Once they were both ready, we arranged their first look in one of the beautiful rooms of the Kimpton Fitzroy. Seeing each other for the very first time was such a lovely moment to photograph. These are exactly the kinds of moments that suit my documentary approach – allowing events to unfold naturally without forcing poses or interrupting the day.
With plenty of time built into the schedule, we jumped into a classic London cab and made our way to Camden Town Hall. The Town Hall has been a place where couples have married for generations and has a fascinating history, having first opened in 1937 as the headquarters of the Metropolitan Borough of Camden’s predecessor, St Pancras Borough Council.
For their ceremony, Tabatha and Alex chose the Primrose Room – a beautifully elegant space that is perfect for smaller weddings. With just four guests, both sets of parents, the ceremony was wonderfully intimate and personal. There was something incredibly special about the simplicity of the occasion – just the two of them making their vows in front of the people who have supported them throughout their lives.
One of my favourite things about Tabatha and Alex was seeing how naturally comfortable they were together. Having first met at school and been together ever since, they shared a connection built over many years, and you could see how excited they were to finally become husband and wife.
Tabatha looked absolutely beautiful in her elegant off-the-shoulder wedding dress, carrying a soft bouquet of pastel flowers that perfectly complemented her timeless look. Alex looked equally smart in a dark three-piece suit with a soft pink tie and matching buttonhole, creating a wonderfully classic London wedding style.
After the ceremony, we made the most of Camden Town Hall’s beautiful marble staircase for some family portraits before heading outside for a joyful confetti moment. We then wandered towards St Pancras, capturing relaxed photographs along the streets of London – candid moments, little interactions, and the natural joy of the newlyweds as they enjoyed their first moments together as a married couple.
Days like Tabatha and Alex’s are a perfect reminder that a wedding doesn’t need hundreds of guests or a huge celebration to be memorable. A small ceremony, your closest family, and the person you have loved since school can make for a truly wonderful London wedding day.
