The Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Photographer

The Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding Photographer. Kira first got in touch after seeing photos from her cousin’s wedding that I had photographed a few years ago. She liked the relaxed, documentary style… natural moments, nothing staged, just the day unfolding as it happened. That approach worked perfectly for their plans – a small London registry office wedding with just the two of them and two close guests.

Their ceremony took place at the iconic Old Marylebone Town Hall in Westminster. The building has been hosting weddings since 1914 and has become one of London’s most recognisable registry offices. Kira and Adam chose the Soho Room – one of my favourite ceremony rooms in the building. It’s ideal for smaller weddings: bright, elegant, and perfectly suited to intimate ceremonies.

Before the ceremony, we took advantage of something quite rare at Marylebone… empty steps. Usually they’re packed with couples and photographers, but this time they were completely clear. Perfect timing. We grabbed a few relaxed portraits. It was also at this point I noticed something impressive – Kira looked incredible in her wedding dress, elegant and glowing… and heavily pregnant! She looked fantastic. Adam kept things sharp and classic in a black double-breasted suit, going for a relaxed style with no tie.

Inside the Soho Room, the ceremony was conducted by the registrars. As always at OMTH, it was short, professional, and delivered with a friendly tone that keeps things comfortable and relaxed. With just four people in the room, the ceremony felt calm and personal – exactly what Kira and Adam had planned.

Afterwards we spent some time wandering through the nearby streets of Marylebone for more photos. It’s a great area for portraits – elegant streets, interesting architecture, and plenty of quiet corners for relaxed shots.

The celebrations continued just around the corner at The Landmark Hotel, where we captured a few more photographs before they headed in for their reception. Throughout the day I photographed everything in my usual documentary style – keeping things natural, observing the moments as they happened, and avoiding anything overly posed. It suited the day perfectly.

A small wedding, just a handful of people… but a brilliant couple in a fantastic location.
