Rowhill Grange Wedding Photographer

Rowhill Grange Wedding Photographer. Some weddings have extra meaning, and Peter and Beth’s day at Rowhill Grange was definitely one of them. I’ve known these two for over 25 years – we all used to work together back in the day, before I became a wedding photographer. So when they asked me to photograph their wedding, I was absolutely delighted. It felt like everything had come full circle.

The day began in Rowhill Grange’s Thatchers Loft – the bridal prep room that’s pretty much designed for organised chaos. It’s huge, and it needed to be, because there were about 10 people in there at the same time, with hair, makeup, bride, bridesmaids, all laughing, and a whole lot of excitement. It had that perfect “full house” atmosphere that makes bridal prep so much fun to capture.

Rowhill Grange itself is a bit of a gem in Kent – a luxury manor house surrounded by landscaped gardens and tucked away woodland. It’s got everything you’d ever want for a wedding venue.

The ceremony was held outside in their stunning wedding gazebo, right in the heart of the grounds. And let me tell you – it was hot. 32 degrees of blazing sunshine, hot! Guests came prepared with sunglasses, fans, and plenty of cold drinks, and the setting couldn’t have looked better. With the gardens as the backdrop, it was the perfect spot for Peter and Beth to say their vows in front of all their family and friends.

Beth looked incredible in her white dress, while Peter was sharp in his three-piece suit. They couldn’t stop smiling as they made their way back down the aisle together, clearly buzzing to celebrate with everyone. After the ceremony, we made the most of the grounds for portraits. Rowhill Grange has so many great spots, from manicured lawns to tucked-away corners – but the Tranquil Garden really stood out. It was the perfect spot for some relaxed couple shots, keeping everything candid and natural, just as I like to shoot.

The reception kicked off in The Clockhouse, which was decorated beautifully and had that lively buzz you only get at big weddings. Speeches had everyone laughing (and maybe a few happy tears too), and then the evening took an unexpected twist – the singing Delivery Man arrived. Within minutes, he had the whole place on their feet, singing, dancing, and properly getting the party started. It was such a highlight – the kind of moment you can’t plan, but that becomes unforgettable.

When it came to the first dance, Peter and Beth set the tone perfectly. As soon as they finished, the dance floor erupted and didn’t calm down for the rest of the night. They were right in the middle of it all, surrounded by friends and family, and they didn’t leave the floor until the very early hours. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone in full party mode.

This wedding was extra special for me, not just because I’ve known Peter and Beth for so long, but also because Rowhill Grange has been on my venue bucket list for years. Photographing a wedding here with two amazing people made it a day I’ll always remember.

My photography is all about the documentary approach – candid moments, real expressions, and genuine fun. And honestly, with a day like this one, it was easy. Every moment told a story.
