Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer
Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer. Charlotte and Adam reached out earlier this year after discovering my portfolio and connecting with my relaxed, documentary approach – candid moments, real laughter, and authentic storytelling without stiff posing. From their first message, I knew this was going to be special: a laid-back wedding full of character, a bit of beautiful chaos, and all the genuine emotion in between. Days like this are exactly why I love what I do – just follow the joy, capture the unscripted moments, and let the story unfold naturally. It was great to be back at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich.
The day kicked off in Dulwich, at their flat, where Adam was getting ready with his close friends and his sister. Beer and whiskey already flowing and everyone in a top mood. Adam looked ridiculously sharp in his beige three-piece suit with deep burgundy touches – perfectly chosen.
Next stop: Bridal Prep at The Half Moon Pub in Herne Hill. If you haven’t been, it’s huge – loads of light, loads of space, and more than enough champagne to keep spirits high. Charlotte looked incredible in her textured white dress, surrounded by laughter an fun. Once the finishing touches were done, we piled into a white taxi and made our way to Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton.
The ceremony was held in the Circular Hall, which is honestly one of the most impressive rooms in any London registry office. All Edwardian curves, warm tones, and that sense of classic London history. Their ceremony was short, intimate, and packed with around 40 of their closest friends and family.
And yes… this is where I absolutely stacked it. Full wipe-out. Right in front of everyone. But I cracked a joke and luckily everyone burst out laughing, weirdly… the fall actually gave me the perfect angle for a couple of cracking shots. Every wedding needs one chaotic moment – I happily volunteered myself.
Once outside, we grabbed a few group photos on the steps. Easy, fun, everyone in top form. Then came the next highlight: a vintage London bus to take the whole party to The Trafalgar Tavern Greenwich. More fun, more noise, and more nonsense. We got stuck in traffic, and the bride and groom ended up jumping off the bus to find a loo in the nearest restaurant… only to sprint back out afterwards chasing the bus down the road. Absolute gold.
Trafalgar Tavern was already buzzing by the time we arrived. After the confetti, we headed to the riverside for photos, then the entire wedding party gathered on the Trafalgar Tavern balcony for a big group shot – one of my favourite frames of the day.
Couples portraits were shot around the Greenwich Naval College, which never fails to deliver. Clean lines, beautiful stone, sweeping views… These two were laughing the entire time – natural chemistry and zero posing needed.
Inside the reception, more guests were waiting for them. Drinks flowing, live atmosphere buzzing. The first dance was full of energy, and once the music picked up, the dance floor turned into mayhem in the best possible way. At one point the room broke out into the Macarena – full commitment… Nice!!!!
A standout final memory: throughout the whole day, Charlotte and Adam never stopped smiling at each other. Not forced, not staged – just pure enjoyment of the moment. Exactly what makes documentary photography so satisfying to shoot.
A brilliant couple. A brilliant wedding day. And yes… I’m still slightly proud of my accidental dive-roll mid-ceremony.
