Chelsea Town Hall Wedding Photographer. Sophie first got in touch at the beginning of the year about her plans for a short and stylish London wedding at the Kensington & Chelsea Register Office, better known as Chelsea Old Town Hall. It’s one of London’s most recognisable ceremony venues – the building dates back to 1887 and has hosted countless celebrity weddings over the years.
Sophie and Steven wanted a small London wedding, a classic location, and just one hour of coverage… exactly the kind of fast-paced storytelling I love.
Their ceremony took place in the beautiful Brydon Room. It’s a light, elegant space that works perfectly for smaller gatherings, and Sophie and Steven kept things wonderfully intimate with just close family and friends from both sides. The ceremony itself was short and smoothly run, perfectly overseen by the friendly registrars, with everyone gathered closely together for the key moments.
Sophie looked stunning in her white sequined wedding dress, while Steven looked very sharp in a navy three-piece suit. After the ceremony, we stepped straight outside for photos on the famous Chelsea Town Hall steps with a confetti shot. These are always a must – classic London architecture, clean lines, and just enough space for relaxed group shots before the next part of the day.
With only an hour of coverage, everything moved quickly. We took a short walk along King’s Road. The street provided plenty of natural movement – buses passing, pedestrians weaving through, and London carrying on around them. It all fits perfectly with my candid, documentary style, keeping things natural and unforced.
One lovely personal detail was Sophie’s perfume bottle, which had been specially made for the wedding. I made sure to capture a few frames of it before we wrapped up – small touches like this help tell the full story of the day.
