Wedding Photography South East London

Wedding Photography South East London. The first time I met Joe in Nicola was at their initial wedding meeting and I couldn't have asked for a nicer couple. Joe and Nicola were a very easy going the one thing they insisted on was catching a day in a very natural photojournalistic way. This was definitely not going to be a problem as this is the way I would normally photograph my weddings.  They really wanted me to capture their friends and family at their best… having a great time!!

The Registry Office

It started off as a beautiful day - the sun was shining and everyone was in a good mood. When I got to the Bexley Registry Office I went upstairs to meet Joe and to my surprise the room was so full of people that they had to stand around the edges of the room just so that everyone would fit in!!

After the ceremony was over we all proceeded to go outside to take some formal photos. I very quickly noticed that there was a big dark cloud approaching and it was definitely going to rain so I had to take control and get everybody to take the group shots before the rain came.

Wet Reception!!

I have to admit that I was very lucky because as we finished the formal shirts the first drops of rain started appearing and by the time we all got back to our cars and drove onto reception it was pouring with rain. As you can see from the pictures I think quite a few people got wet as it was absolutely torrential.

Once all the guests arrived they all took their seats at their respective tables. All the children were sitting together at the centre table - they must have had a whale of a time – especially with no grown-up around!! After the speeches were over - all the kids went outside to go and play on the bouncy castle which I managed to get some great shots of… You could tell they were enjoying it so much.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Joe and Nicola for letting me be their wedding photographer. I had a great time and it was a privilege to meet you and your family

Wedding Photographer London Kensington and Chelsea. What more could I ask for on a sunny Saturday afternoon than photographing a wedding ceremony in Kensington and Chelsea registry office then off to a reception at The Belvedere restaurant in Holland park.

Laurence and Eva were a very easy going couple and their main priority for the day was for me was to capture the atmosphere with everyone having a good time. They also mentioned that there were going to be quite a few children there with a sweet table so I was well prepared and ready for anything!!

Town Hall

Laurence and Eva made a fantastic entrance together as they both pulled up to the registry office in a vintage silver Bentley. It was absolutely immaculate – A real head turner! Once everyone was out of the car they were greeted by all their guest who were waiting patiently outside.

After the guests meet the couple we all moved inside where we were seated in “The Brydon Room”. It was the first time that I have photographed a ceremony in that room and I have to say that I really liked it.

The Belvedere

Once the ceremony was over we took a short cab ride to The Belvedere in Holland park. What a great place, It is surrounded by peacocks and lovely gardens. We arrived at the Belvedere early so we all decided to take a stroll down to the Japanese Garden where we took a few formal shots.

Once we were inside the restaurant I set about taking pictures of the table decorations which were absolutely stunning creations.  The children as expected ran straight to the sweet table and let just say the sweets were all gone in record time.

Laurence and Eva I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon. It was a real pleasure to photograph your wedding. Thank you so much. I am a London Wedding Photographer and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my blog for Wedding Photographer London Kensington Chelsea and I really hope you like the images.

Wedding Photographer South East London Tudor Barn Eltham. I meet Jon and Katie back in 2013 at the Tudor Barn Wedding Fayre. Jon and Katie had just booked the Tudor Barn for their Wedding Venue and they were looking for a wedding photographer. Within a few minutes of Jon and Katie visiting my stand we were all chatting away like we had known each other for ages. After a short while they had decided to book me there and then!! I was really really pleased to become their photographer as they were such a lovely friendly couple.

On the day

The weather was very typically English as we were all treated to a large amount of rain in the morning!!! So much so that Katie had 3 people escorting her to from her Wedding car to the Tudor Barn!!  Katie reached the Tudor Barn in one piece and dry which as an achievement in itself.

Jon and Katie had such a sweet ceremony because they were joined by their very young son who was missing mummy and daddy as they were exchanging their vows.

After the Ceremony

Once the ceremony was over the Sun miraculous appeared from behind the clouds dried all the rain so we all headed out side to take our group photos. However the main talking point amongst the ladies was “When is Katie going to throw the bouquet??” It was very apparent that there was a lot of completion amongst the ladies.

So after the formal photos were taken we headed off to find a spot to throw the bouquet. I think that the pressure was on Katie too as when she threw the bouquet – she had thrown it so hard that it reached Well Hall road!!!

After then second attempt it went really well and we had a lucky winner!!! Finally!!! All in all we had a terrific wedding and I have to say a big thank you to the Tudor Barn staff for their amazing hospitality as always.  If you are interested in weddings at the Tudor Barn please click here.

Danson Boathouse Wedding Photography Bexleyheath

Danson Boathouse Wedding Photography Bexleyheath

Danson Boathouse Wedding Photography Bexleyheath. I have always wanted to photograph a wedding at the Danson Boathouse as I had missed an opportunity earlier… It has such amazing surroundings with the lake, gardens, and beautiful landscape views and if you are very very lucky – the Boathouse has an AMAZING view of the sunset (I was very, very lucky!!).

So when Clive booked me for his wedding at the Boathouse I was very very happy! Clive and Amanda were very keen for me to capture their day in a very natural, photo-journalistic way, which I was more than happy to do, as this is my natural style when it comes to photographing weddings.

The Boathouse

When I arrived at the venue I was greeted by the Boathouse staff and I have to say that I was really impressed by their professionalism and friendliness… I knew that Clive and Amanda were in very good hands and would be very well looked after!!!

After surveying the venue for the best available photography ‘hotspots’, the ceremony was soon underway and it was lovely to see Clive and Amanda looking so relaxed and happy. With the ceremony complete, Clive and Amandaasked for some group shots outside, unfortunately the dear old British weather had turned slightly and we were greeted with more wind chill that we would have liked, so after a few shots we decided to continue with the remainder of the formal photos indoors – thankfully, due to the fantastic venue and the happiness of the wedding party, the end results turned out to be very successful and well received.

Speech Time

It was soon time for the speeches, anticipated by most yet dreaded by some! As a photographer, I really enjoy this part of the day as I can capture some fantastic natural reactions and emotions from outright laughter to outright tears! The best man, and Father of the brides speeches went down very well and set the bride and groom off on the road to marriage nicely

Following a great wedding and, in my case, a successful shoot it was time for me to leave and to let the celebrations get into full swing but, as I was a preparing to depart, I happened to see a gorgeous sunset and quickly approached the bride and groom and asked if they wanted a really special picture – the answer was of course “yes” and the result is the very last picture below. I hope you like them.

Connaught Hotel Wedding Photographer London Mayfair

Connaught Hotel Wedding Photographer London Mayfair. It was only a few months ago that David and Donna contacted me about photographing their upcoming wedding at the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. The couple were guests at a wedding that I had photographed a week earlier in Eltham – South East London. So I must have been doing something right! After our initial meeting it was clear that David and Donna really wanted a stress-free day with little or no formal photography. I am mainly a reportage photographer so this was not a problem. The couple wanted their formal photographs to be taken in an informal way, which actually worked out brilliantly.

The Connaught Hotel

From the moment I arrived at the hotel I could tell that it was a fantastic place. All the staff were very attentive and always happy to help. And the atmosphere was so relaxed when I visited with Donna and her bridesmaids in their room. The rest of the day went according to plan and it was such a wonderful, beautiful wedding… you could really see the love between David and Donna and of course their handsome little boy.

Although I am a reportage photographer – I saw some amazing photographic opportunities for David and Donna – the couple were very open to my suggestions and it turns out that they absolutely loved the photos and I hope you do too… I’d like to thank David and Donna for letting me photograph their wedding and I’d also like to thank the Connaught Hotel for their hospitality. Click here for more details about weddings at The Connaught Hotel.

Scroll down for a few pictures from David and Donna’s day. I really hope you enjoy them.

Wedding Photographer Clarendon Hotel Blackheath Greenwich

Wedding Photographer Clarendon Hotel Blackheath Greenwich

Wedding Photographer Clarendon Hotel Blackheath Greenwich. Wow – I can’t believe that a year has passed since Dave and Louise asked me to photograph their wedding. It felt like only yesterday that we were chatting about their plans. I distinctly remember three things about Dave and Louise. 1. This couple were very much in love. 2. Photography was very important to them and 3. The theme of the wedding was based on their car. This is not just any ordinary car – it’s a red 1960′s SS Impala and wow what a head turner! It’s Dave’s second pride and joy… after Louise that is!

The Clarendon

When I turned up to photograph the bridal preparations, to my surprise I walked into a stress-free (yes I did say stress-free!) Bridal Suite. In total there was one bride, two hair and makeup artists, four bridesmaids and me, the photographer, all sharing one room! I have to say though that there was plenty of room for everyone. As it was getting close to leaving time I made my way back to Christ Church in Eltham.

Christ Church Eltham

By the time I reached the church the sun had really come out to give Dave and Louise a beautiful day to celebrate their wedding. Once the ceremony was finished we headed outside for group photos and some candid shots. Then we all made our way back to the Clarendon Hotel, Blackheath for drinks and food. While all this was going on I was asked by the newlyweds to give the bridesmaids a little photo shoot with the Impala… How could I refuse? I loved it and so did the bridesmaids. On that note I will mention that Louise and Dave have a special group of friends, so much so that they even put together a little song and dance as a surprise for the bride and groom! What a brilliant end to a beautiful day!

Congratulations to Dave and Louise on their marriage… and to The Clarendon Hotel for their hospitality. Thank you again! You can find out more details about weddings at The Clarendon Hotel by clicking on the link. Here are a few pictures from the day. I really hope you enjoy them.

Wedding Well Hall Pleasaunce Greenwich Eltham

Wedding Well Hall Pleasaunce Greenwich Eltham

Wedding Well Hall Pleasaunce Greenwich Eltham.  Tim and Julie contacted me earlier this year about photographing their wedding in Eltham, Greenwich. This was great because I got a chance to photograph the happy couple at Well Hall Pleasaunce, which is such a beautiful place to take photos.

The Bride & Groom

The ceremony was at St Barnabas in Eltham. It was a scorching hot day, and I mean scorching hot. I arrived at the church early to meet the priest and was joined shortly after by Tim and his best man. All of the guests soon joined Tim as everyone found refuge in the shade!

Once the ceremony was over Tim and Julie were bombarded by friends and family with hugs and kisses, and the confetti soon followed suit! When the congratulations were finished I whisked the couple away for a little shoot in the gorgeous Well Hall Pleasaunce. This provided the PERFECT backdrop for Tim & Julie. We look lots of photos and incorporated Tim & Julie’s ideas too!

The day was getting on so we headed back to the reception where Tim, Julie and I were greeted by the most thirst quenching glass of orange juice I have ever tasted. It was delicious! I then proceeded to take the formals and candid shots. Tim and Julie had asked me to carry on shooting for a few more hours as they wanted me to capture more of the day for them. Of course I was happy to do so. I had a great time with Tim and Julie, and here are a few shots of the day. I hope you like them. Thank you for looking.

London Wedding Photographer Wallace Collection

London Wedding Photographer Wallace Collection

London Wedding Photographer Wallace Collection. I was very excited when I was contacted by Tom and Eriko about their wedding reception at the Wallace Collection in Central London. I had not been to the Wallace Collection before - However when I was at the Venue I was absolutely stunned at how large and how special the Collection is. I was at the Venue early as usual and I was amazed to see how busy it was so early in the morning.

About the Wallace Collection

In a nutshell...The Wallace Collection is a national museum which displays the wonderful works of art collected in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by the first four Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace, the son of the 4th Marquess. It was bequeathed to the British nation by Sir Richard's widow, Lady Wallace, in 1897. Displayed at Hertford House, the main London townhouse of its former owners, the Wallace Collection presents its outstanding collections in a sumptuous but approachable manner which is an essential part of its charm. You can find more info here http://www.wallacecollection.org/

Back to Tom and Eriko

Tom was looking for a very special place to host their special wedding reception as they literally had guests coming from all over to join them on their special day. Tom and Eriko are a lovely couple who are very much in love. We were not allowed to use flash photography - no matter how much I begged and pleaded... so we had to get a little creative...  We had a great time exploring the Wallace Collection with its Grand Rooms.

I would also like to thank all the staff and security at the Wallace collection for their hospitality.   I hope I can get the chance to photograph there again! Here are some photos of the day. I hope you enjoy them!

Wedding Photography at The Corinthia Hotel London

Corinthia Hotel London Wedding Photography. I met Phui-Ling a short while ago to make arrangements for her marriage to Luke at the Kensington and Chelsea Registry Office. One of the first things I noticed about Phui-Ling is that she is such a lovely lady and very organised, which I greatly admire!!

On their wedding day, I met Luke and Phui-Ling at the Registry Office just before the ceremony and they both looked fantastic. Not even the weather could spoil their mood. I noticed straight away that they were a very relaxed and easy going couple, and to be honest I really enjoyed photographing them. Nothing was too much trouble. When you’re photographing people, co-operation is so important.

Once the ceremony was finished we proceeded outside to receive congratulations from their guests. Luke & Phui-Ling had very kindly arranged to transport their guests to The Corinthia Hotel London for the reception. Once we arrived I was greeted by a beautiful view from the Lobby Lounge. The first thing I thought was I must get a photograph of the couple in the Lounge. Sure enough I did and I think the couple looked amazing!

Reception at the Corinthia Hotel London

The rest of the bride and groom’s friends and family joined the couple at The Corinthia Hotel London later that evening. The guests were treated to a private dining area which had such a WOW factor. The whole day was perfect from beginning to end. I would like to thank Phui-Ling and Luke for letting me photograph their perfect wedding day… Congratulations!!!
