Wedding photography Tudor Barn Eltham. What better way to start the year and the wedding season with a wedding at the Tudor Barn Eltham where I am one of the recommended suppliers. I first meet Mark & Lorraine at one of the Tudor Barn’s Wedding Farye’s.

On the day we were treated by the great British weather to a large portion of wind and rain… However that did not stop me from getting outside and photographing Lorraine on her arrival to the ceremony – In fact any onlookers must have thought that I was mad to be photographing in the rain.

Let's get started...

Once we were all inside, the ceremony started where Mark was patiently waiting for Lorraine. It was a lovely and very touching ceremony. You could really see the emotions between Mark and Lorraine.

After the ceremony the drinks reception started and Mark & Lorraine were surrounded by friends and family who were congratulating them.

May the Roast be with you!!!

After the sit-down meal and speeches Mark had arranged a little surprise for Lorraine’s enjoyment. Mark had arranged a Hog Roast, however it was no ordinary Hog Roast – It was a Star Wars Hog Roast complete with Star Wars mask and music.

Once the evening buffet had arrived the dance floor was alive and kicking along with a photo-booth which kept everybody entertained and amused for hours!!

Chislehurst Wedding Photographer London. Have you ever heard of the saying “right place, right time”? Well that was definitely what happened when I met Ros. I had finished a family portrait for a client and I had returned to their house to deliver their picture and products that they had ordered earlier. As a coincidence there were a few of my clients’ friends visiting them at the same time. After a brief chat I ended up talking to Ros about a possibility of photographing her wedding. She mentioned that she had been looking for a long time for a photographer. So I gave her my card with my website and contact details.

Penguins!

I was absolutely delighted when I received an email from Ros asking me to meet with her and her partner Alina.  After our meeting I was happy to find out that they wanted to book me for their wedding!!! I was really looking forward to photographing their wedding as I had heard that they had a fascination with Penguins and was intrigued as to how they were going to incorporate this into their day!!! At every opportunity, somewhere and somehow you were never too far from a picture of a penguin or a shape of a penguin. The sentiment behind the penguins is that they mate for life.

On with the ceremony!

The ceremony was at Bromley Registry Office and we were all treated to a ride in the old routemaster bus - where I realised just how difficult it must have been for a conductor to give tickets while the bus was moving!!! I tried to take pictures while the bus was moving… I must have hit my camera on the seats about 10 times!! (No damage luckily!! After a short ceremony, Ros & Alina wanted a big group photo in the gardens outside which I was very happy to organise. Once we had taken a few formal photos we headed back to the routemaster where we were taken to the reception venue The Bulls Head Hotel in Chislehurst.

I would like to thank Ros and Alina for letting me photograph their Wedding. It really was a fantastic day!! Check out my other recent Wedding Photography

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer Greenwich London

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer Greenwich London

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer Greenwich London

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer Greenwich London. When Sophie contacted me about her wedding I was very excited to hear that she was having her reception at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich. It is one of my favourite venues in Greenwich. It was built on the site of the Old George Inn in the year of Victoria’s ascension, 1837. This stunning late Regency building is situated riverside with a beautiful view of the Thames from it's great bay windows and elegant balconies....what more could you ask for??

St Margaret’s Church, Lee

Edward and Sophie had their ceremony in St Margaret’s Church, Lee . The exterior of the church gives no clue as to what you will find inside.  The interior of the church was simply stunning; decorated in a Gothic revivalist style with beautiful tall columns, arches and stained glass windows . Edward and Sophie had arranged a choir to sing during the ceremony which really created a special atmosphere.

All aboard…

Once the ceremony was over everyone jumped on a beautifully restored Routemaster bus which transported all the guests over to the Trafalgar Tavern. Once all the guests arrived at the venue we decided to do the formal shots then try a confetti shot indoors. The Trafalgar Tavern has a beautiful staircase with a wrap-around balcony – this was an ideal place to have a confetti shot and I have to admit that this is one of my favorite shots!!!

The very multi-talented Edward…

Once the guests had their wedding breakfast and heard the speeches their attention was focused squarely on Edward who had decided to sing some songs for everyone and play the piano at the same time… WOW… It was absolutely fantastic to watch all the guests huddle around Edward and join in his songs… It was such an electric atmosphere!!

I would like to thank Edward and Sophie for choosing me to be their wedding photographer. Thank you.

London Mayfair Wedding Photographer St Ermin's Hotel. Every now and again you meet a couple that are so modest that it really takes you by surprise!!! Tom & Rita were that couple. This wedding was a lovely blend of English tradition and Nigerian flare. I was initially contacted by Tom’s father who lives in Plymouth to help Tom and Rita arrange the wedding which I though was a lovely gesture as Tom and Rita were right in the middle of organising a house move into London. Tom’s father informed me that this would not be an ordinary wedding…. He was right!!

For starters they couple had only asked for 2 hours coverage which was no problem at all as I had created a bespoke wedding package for them. Secondly, due to their house move into London the first time I met them was just after the ceremony (as per their request).

Mayfair Ceremony

Their ceremony was in Mayfair Library and was just next door to the Mount Street Gardens which was an ideal location for some great candid/natural and formal shots of everyone together.

St Ermin’s Hotel Reception

After taking pictures in the Mount Street Gardens we made our way to the reception which was at St Ermin’s Hotel in central London. It is a beautiful hotel, particularly the Lobby which has rich rococo plasterwork, sweeping staircase and mezzanine.

St Ermin’s has a great indoor and outdoor space which we used to get formal shots for the couple. Once I had finished the photographs outside we made our way inside to take a big group shot on the large sweeping staircase.  As part of my bespoke wedding package I created for Tom & Rita I created an online gallery where the Guests were able to upload their own pictures from the day so all the guests photos were in one place.

I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tom & Rita on a their wedding and thank them for letting me capture their special day. Check out my other recent Wedding Photography

Greenwich Wedding Photographer Old Royal Naval College

Greenwich Wedding Photographer Old Royal Naval College

Greenwich Wedding Photographer Old Royal Naval College. One of the things I love about Weddings in Greenwich is that there is always something different to set one wedding apart from another. Rob and Amy’s wedding was no exception. I meet Rob for the first time at St Michael & All Angels church, Blackheath Park. If you have ever been to the church you will notice that it is almost hidden away and is actually on private property.  Built in 1829 the church was designed in a Gothic style with a tall spire 172 feet high, known as "the Needle of Kent".

Good morning!!!

When I arrived at the Clarendon hotel to photograph Amy and her bridesmaids it was surprisingly quiet… everyone was getting ready, no panic, no stress, no screaming… just the sound of drinks being poured!! This was a slight contrast to Rob – when I visited him at home he had lots of family and friends chatting away and there was a definitely a buzz!!

Here comes the bride…

I did have a little laugh when the Bride and her father walked down the aisle to “The Final Countdown” by Europe.  All the guests and the Priest really had a good laugh too. I had a feeling that it was going to be a fun day. After the church ceremony we all made our way down to the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) in Greenwich.

Old Royal Naval College.

Getting to the ORNC was a challenge in itself as Greenwich was hosting the Tall Ships Festival – with major road closures and lots of pedestrianised roads… it was not easy… but we made it on time. While all the guests were enjoying drinks at the colonnades we were treated to another musical surprise… Rob’s Father was playing the bagpipes to escort all the guests to the sit down meal in Queen Mary Undercroft room.

I have to mention that I loved the table favours that Rob and Amy chose for their guests…SUBBETEO players which were all handmade and painted… soo soo cool. I would like to thank Rob and Amy for choosing me to photograph their wedding and also for mentioning me in their speeches. It was such a lovely gesture. Thank you

Wedding Photographer London Gibson Hall Bishopsgate

Wedding Photographer London Gibson Hall Bishopsgate

Wedding Photographer London Gibson Hall Bishopsgate. I can clearly remember getting a phone call from Kirsty. It was the last booking that I received in 2013 and it was around Christmas time. I was more than happy to hear from her as she had been recommended by a previous client who I did a family portrait session for. You can’t get better than a personal recommendation!!!

I remember when Kirsty told me that they were getting married in the City at “Gibson Hall”. Formerly known as the National Provincial Bank of England, this Grade I listed building was, in its time, one of the City of London’s greatest banking halls.  Now, in the modern day it is one of London’s most prestigious wedding and event venues.

I was very excited to say the least!!! Steve and Kirsty wanted me to photograph their wedding in a natural reportage style capturing all the fun and details from the day… but they did want a little photo-shoot in and around Leadenhall Market – which was only a few minutes away.

On the big day...

The main ceremony was taking place in the Main Hall… WOW! what a hall. With its crystal chandeliers and marble columns the converted banking hall is a sophisticated and stunning space.

Before the Ceremony, Kirsty waited patiently downstairs with her father and sisters – a perfect opportunity for me to capture a few shots of the bridal party in waiting. Meanwhile Steve had been waiting upstairs for the arrival of his beautiful bride to be.  During the ceremony we were all treated to a song that was performed by 3 of Steve’s good friends. The song was called “Wear Sunscreen” by Baz Luhrmann and it was really great to see people’s reactions to the song… It was brilliant!!

Leadenhall Market

After the ceremony Steve and Kirsty were congratulated by their guests and everyone relaxed in the private and secluded courtyard garden. After a short while Steve, Kirsty and myself took a short walk to the Victorian buildings and cobbled streets of Leadenhall market.

I hope you enjoy viewing their pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.

I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Steve & Kirsty on a fantastic wedding and thank them for letting me capture their special day. Check out my other recent Wedding Photography

Wedding photographer Devonport House Greenwich DeVere Venues. Right from the beginning when I first met Ralph and Lesley - we all go on very well and the first thing that struck me about them was that they were really mad about each other. I was touched by the fact that they both wanted to add little sentimental touches to the day. For example - they both love travelling and for the table names they made fantastic looking luggage tags for places they had been to and for their Wedding cake they had a special 3 their suitcase made!!

Devonport House Greenwich... A Beautiful Venue

I had photographed at Devonport House in Greenwich before but this was the first time that I had actually spent the whole day there with the Ceremony and Reception which was great. Devonport House is right in the heart of Greenwich and has some stunning Gardens!

As the ceremony started - Ralph was waiting for Lesley to arrive you could just see how pleased Ralph was to be getting married to Lesley. When Lesley arrived in the room you knew that they were both so happy to see each other. It was a very touching and lovely ceremony. Once Ralph and Lesley were married they set off outside to enjoy some drinks. We were very lucky have great weather which was ideal for celebrating in the Beautiful gardens of the De Vere Venues – Devonport House.

Eating, Drinking and Dancing!!

The guests had a fantastic 3 course meal  which was closely followed by party time!!. The party was rocking into the early hours of the morning and I know that everyone there was enjoying the dance floor as is was always full of people!!

Congratulations to the happy couple and I would absolutely love to thank Ralph and Lesly for choosing be to be their wedding photographer. It was an absolute pleasure!! Thank you.

Wedding Photographer Asylum Peckham South East London

Wedding Photographer Asylum Peckham South East London

Wedding Photographer Asylum Peckham South East London. I was extremely excited to be asked by Jamie and Keely to photograph their wedding. When they told me that it was in a chapel in an old asylum my first my first thoughts were…wow that's different!! But when I actually turned up and saw the chapel I was like “WOW THAT’S AMAZING!!!”

The Asylum is a very unique place to get married and is based in Caroline Gardens Chapel in Peckham. I certainly have never photographed anything like this before. It is surrounded by beautiful green open spaces in front and behind the chapel.
When we arrived at the chapel for the first time you could see the buzz and excitement among the guests.

Right from the beginning when I meet Jamie and Keely – they were very adamant that they just want to keep it very informal with no structure to the day at all and I really did share their vision for the whole day. This meant that I could capture their wedding day by taking candid pictures of their guests with families, children and friends genuinely having a great time... Not having any of the formal or traditional pictures to take felt a little unusual at first - however before long I got into the swing of things and managed to capture some fantastic shots.

There was a fantastic barbecue and bouncy castle which meant that everybody was entertained in some way whether it was food/drink or play everyone was happy. Jamie and Keely also had arranged a photo booth so everyone was queuing up to take some fun snaps for the bride and groom

Jamie and Keely have a very large circle of friends and when it was time for the first dance the dance floor was flooded with friends and family. Jamie and Keely carried on partying until late late late hours of the night!!!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Jamie and Keely for asking me to be their wedding photographer and to share their very very special day.

Wedding Photography Sutton London Photographer

Wedding Photography Sutton London.

Wedding Photography Sutton London. I mostly photograph weddings in Greenwich or in Central London so it was a real treat to photograph Ben and Sophie's wedding in Sutton. I really was genuinely excited as Sutton has some amazing venues and I was looking forward to capturing something unique for them.

A scorching hot ceremony...

When I met Ben in the afternoon he was accompanied by his brothers and they all looked extremely sharp in their suits. Ben also arrived with his immediate family who were very excited to see him getting married. While we were waiting for the bride to arrive I managed to capture some candid shots of Ben and his family - Ben and his brothers are very close to their grandparents so I did my best to capture some special pictures with all the family together.

By the time Sophie arrived for the ceremony we had all moved inside to find shelter from the scorching sun. Luckily we had enough time to cool down before Sophie made her grand entrance. When Sophie walked into the room you could see from the look on her face that she was so so happy. When Ben and Sophie stood next to each other it was clear to see they made a great couple..

Celebrations in the Sun...

After a short ceremony we all headed outside for some celebrations and liquid refreshment. By this time the Sun had cooled down a bit so we were able to take some formal pictures and enjoy the outdoors for a little bit longer.

The Chateau...

The wedding reception was held at The Chateau in Croydon.  When I took the couple for a bridal portrait session I was stunned to see what was behind The Chateau... It was one of the most beautiful gardens that I had ever seen... it was so colourful and beautifully kept that I could have spent hours taking pictures there.  I was able to capture some beautiful pictures for Ben and Sophie. On that note, I would like to congratulate Ben and Sophie on their wedding day.

Wedding Photographer Bexley Kent Greenwich

Wedding Photographer Bexley Kent Greenwich

Wedding Photographer Bexley Kent Greenwich. I distinctly remember my first contact with Leanne.  She called me to enquire about my photography service.  After a brief chat on the phone we meet shortly afterwards where I met Paul and the rest of the family. They were looking for a photographer who could capture the wedding in a natural photo-journalistic way. This was perfect as my natural style is to capture weddings as they happen.

One Sunny and very hot day…

When I arrived to take pictures of Leanne getting ready I remember getting out of my car only to be hit by heat and humidity! What a scorcher of a day! Once I was inside I met Leanne who looked absolutely beautiful. I followed Leanne going downstairs and captured one of my favourite shots of the day! You could see how proud Leanne’s parents were to see her dressed so beautifully.
After a few liquid refreshments Leanne was really to go - so she jumped in a specially prepared black cab and she made her way down to St. John the Evangelist Parish Church in Bexley.

The Ceremony…

Before the ceremony began, I introduced myself to the Parish Clerk.  After a brief chat I was informed that I was not allowed to use flash photography and that I was only allowed to stand in one position and was not allowed to move around. Although not ideal, this was not  really a problem at all as I have been in this situation many times before and I was able to capture some fantastic shots from just the one position with no flash.

On to the reception…

When the ceremony finished we all made our way to the reception in Eltham/Greenwich where we all enjoyed some cool and fresh drinks and the guests enjoyed the rest of the evening with bouncy castles and great food.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul and Leanne for letting me photograph their wedding. I wish you both a happy and fantastic marriage.
